Overview
Richard Rhodes, born in Kansas City, Kansas, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author whose many books and articles reflect his wide ranging subject interests. In these papers are manuscripts of his writings, copies of his many published works, related correspondence, some personal material and photographs, and the author's extensive research files, containing more than one hundred audio tapes of interviews that he conducted.

This collection consists of maps with accompanying information regarding the improvement of waterworks for the province of Galicia, Poland. (Galicia is presently divided among Poland, the Ukraine, and Romania; in 1822, it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.) There are 147 items, each in a folder. Most consist of a colored map of a couple of miles of waterway, indicating proposed channels, embankments, canals, etc., and a thin sheet of paper which formerly wrapped the map, giving brief...
